At ORQUEST we have raised an initiative to help retailers in these difficult times. In this article we tell you what this initiative is about.
The impact of the COVID-19 is growing day after day and it’s leaving a critical panorama for the retailers. In China, retail sales fell around 25% (although ‘online’ grew). However, after all, they reopened and are getting back on their feet. Right behind, in Europe, we are suffering and grieving. Not only with our economy but within our core. The most important things in our life, our loved ones are in danger, and of course, seeing the light at the end of the tunnel probably have never been harder.
But, like in all crisis, there will always be a “before” and an “after”. We will eventually go back out with the Sun, people will go back to their hugs, taking the kids to amusement parks, drinking Aperol and eating a 3 course meal right after… All our fun European social habits will come back to life. We will go to the mall, shopping for that perfect swimsuit to rock that bikini body we have been building during the quarantine workout and we need to be ready for it.
Of course, this has been said in a playful way, but we can´t get stuck. We need to stop looking at the problem and look for solutions. So, how can we, as an industry, come together to find both short term and long-term solutions? We know this situation is hard, but we also know that it will pass, and together we are much stronger!
